A Notice of Proposed Rulemaking announcing proposed amendments to Article 8 of Title 27 of the California Code of Regulations, section 25821 was published in the California Regulatory Notice Register on October 5, 2018 (Notice File Number Z-2018-0925-07). The October 5 notice initiated a 45-day public comment period that was scheduled to close on November 19, 2018; however, the Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA) extended the comment period to November 26, 2018, after receiving a request from the California Chamber of Commerce to hold a public hearing on the proposed regulation. The hearing will be held on Monday, November 19, 2018, from 10:00 a.m. to noon, at the George Alexeeff Environmental Health Library, Suite 1604, 16th Floor, 1515 Clay Street, Oakland, CA 94612.
At the request of the California Chamber of Commerce and the Grocery Manufacturers Association, OEHHA hereby extends the public comment period an additional week. The comment period will now close on 5:00 pm, Monday, December 3, 2018. The public is encouraged to submit written comments electronically via e-mail or through our website at https://oehha.ca.gov/comments rather than in paper form.
